Red country shack (part 3), Tampere, Finland

Here is the third part of the photos from the shack at the countryside, by a hay field. I was also kind of testing by new object when taking these photos. It is more luminous than my old one, and it really was a lot easier to get good shots in not-so-perfect light conditions. I still have to practice manual focusing though.

Red country shack (part 2), Tampere, Finland

At first when I shaw this shack, my attitude was like "well, let's go in and take a few photos in five minutes and move forward". Luckily I was wrong and the place offered a lot of interesting things to explore and photograph.

As Jonahi said before, we couldn't find out what the purpose of this place had really been. Anyway, it is certain that the owner had a warm relationship to the b/w photographs, polaroid cameras and also to the great men like Kekkonen, Einstein and J.V. Snellman. For me the piles of framed pictures of these late presidents, inventors and authors were the soul of the place with those b/w photos of the cardboard box (?) factory which I think the owner had taken him(/her)self. I tried to find some information about this factory later (maybe it's an urban exploration sight, too!) but with no success.

The last photo is not from the same place. After exploring the shack, we walked further down the road and saw this beautiful collapsed barn (?) in one backyard. There was also the sign "beware of the angry dog" but the house was so mesmerizing for me that I had to take a risk. Luckily the angry dog was sleeping or away so I made it without bites.

Red country shack (part 1), Tampere, Finland

Visited 1.3.2014 by skkye & jonahi. We were walking in the countryside searching for abandoned houses to visit. This red shack was our only find this time, but it had a lot of interesting stuff to photograph. It seemed like some kind of space for working, or some kind of a warehouse.

On the walls and floors there were many black and white photos from some kind of factory, dating back to the year 1945. In the photos were people using tools and making cardboard boxes with old machines. However, we couldn't identify the purpose of this building.

On the yard there lied an old boat slowly getting covered by hay, and piles of old windows eating up a birch tree. Tiles were slowly getting moss on top of them and the green cover was being occupied by lichen.
